VoxCell's Human-Like Cancer Tissue Models
VoxCell BioInnovation is developing Human-like Cancer Tissue Models as drug screening platforms. These tissues are customized through innovative partnerships with pharmaceutical companies and CROs, focused on increasing the translation between the preclinical and clinical phases of drug development. The tissue models are created by our proprietary technology: Canada's first high-resolution bioprinter, trade-secret vascularization software, Universal Bioink™, and a custom perfusion device.
The Problem
Current limitations
vital role of 3d models
VoxCell’s tissues evaluate the impact of drug candidates using models that reproduce the complexity of the tumor microenvironment, integrating a customized vascular network that mimics capillary-scale vessels.
VoxCell’s tissues are filling an existing need in the drug development space - the need for a more predictive drug testing platform, with the ability to identify and eliminate unviable drug candidates earlier in the drug development pipeline.
Competitive Capabilities
Long term studies
Long-term 3D human tissue modeling with constant nutrient delivery supported by the bio-printed customizable vasculature network.
Advanced Customization
Customization on tissue models with a range of vessel diameters, cell lines, and downstream readouts on cell health and therapeutic response.
Perfusable Vasculature
Multimodal drug delivery via perfusable blood vessels.
